Tornadoes
What a crazy night! We had several severe weather systems move through here last night, and a tornado left extensive damage at a car dealership and a mobile home park less than three miles from our house. This picture shows the huge fire the tornado caused at the mobile home park. We woke up this morning to find out the schools are closed, which is good for us since we didn't get a whole lot of sleep. We're still finding out what all happened during the storm, and we know a shelter has been set up at a church close to our neighborhood.

That's so scary - glad you are ok and get to stay home with your kids today. Have you heard the story about the baby killed in the bathroom of a Jr. High in Baytown? It is so sad.

So you left our hurricanes for tonadoes...was it a good trade? I'm so glad that you all are okay. A night of uncertainty during a storm like that is so frightening.
I wanted to comment to whoever put in about the baby's death at a jr. high in Baytown. The cause of death is still under investigation. You can read today's story from our paper here: http://tinyurl.com/54ugqf
BTW, Deana, it was Cedar Bayou Jr. where our church friend works.Lots of prayers are needed in this case.

I remember some scary nights from thunderstorms in the Dallas area. We had a tornado hit a mile south of our apartment in Arlington. Glad you are ok. Have that central closet cleaned out and ready to run to!
