Veggie-ku

How about some vegetarian haiku?

Dinner's over now
I'm not sure what I just ate
The box said "Boca"

Actually, it wasn't all that bad. When I have a burger craving, it'll do.

Dear Deana, I have been reading your blog and have been praying for you concerning your choice to become a vegetarian, it is so wonderful!... please consider cooking more, not out of the box stuff, which is so wasteful, you can cook great meals with your family in no time and the memories in the kitchen with kids are really priceless!! My kids would cut up chives and other herbs with saftey sissors into cute little bowls and love adding them to what "we'd" just made. I'd like to suggest a couple of easy books for thought as well as easy recipes that can adapted to meat additions for your spouse. One is Laurel"s Kitchen and then anything by Mollie Katzen, Moosewood Cookbook or the Enchanted Broccoli Forest, I love to cook and I have adapted her recipes for years.Best wishes to you.

Bleh! I went through a (or should I say, tried to go through) a stage in college that involved the Boca. I might as well have eaten the box it came in. Sick!

You and your eating habits were a topic of conversation when the in-laws and hartleibs came through. We all miss you and think of you often. So very glad you're all doing so well!

I prefer MorningStar Farms to Boca. :) Esp their chicken stuff. Their buffalo wings taste just like chicken.

Not that it is healthy for you or anything, but like you said, when the meat cravings hit...

So whadya' eat tonight, hmm? I need some menu inspiraton.

And I'm curious: Do eggs still taste good to you (if they ever did)? My love affair with cheese will prevent me from ever going vegan, but I completely lost the ability to eat scrambled eggs about a month after I quit eating meat.

Hi, I live in Baytown and I have to laugh about the Boca Burger. I guess it is nothing like the burgers you wrote about from Mikke's?!
