Note to self:

When I am elderly and haven't had to take a small child to the grocery store in decades, and I see a mother chasing a crazed toddler through the produce section, I will not approach the mother and scold her for leaving her purse unattended. Especially if said toddler has just grabbed a carton of eggs, opened it, and thrown it upside-down into the grocery cart.

Just a thought that occurred to me today.

I was once scolded for "getting your sick child out in this weather". So, I suppose I was supposed to wait 5 years for them to have drive-thru pharmacies or maybe leave my sick 2 year old at home by herself while I got her prescription!
We will remember when we are "older" won't we?!

Do you think some people just feel "called" to scold?

Yes, Carrie! I'll be here to remind you! (Remember our conversation at McAlister's? "That will be us someday.")

D-NA, call me... I want details!

Wow. You amaze me. What did you do? How do you recover from a basket full of soggy eggs????

    Yeah.

Just wear purple and leave the mothering to others.
