True story

So last Thursday night we were all in this field and there was sin and filth and hatred and lies so we nailed it to the cross. We walked back down the hill and turned around to look and there in the vast West Texas sky, where nothing had been a moment before, was a gigantic, vibrant, both-ends-touching-the-earth rainbow curving high into the sky.

As my friend Bill Ehlig says, God showed up.

It was, after the births of our girls, the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes.

You cheered me and blessed me today when you called. Thank you!

How strange because my husband and I saw a double rainbow down here in South Texas on Thursday Evening also! There had been a huge rain storm, like there has been everyday for the past month here and then it came out and both ends touched the earth. We commented on it because we were glad to see that God still promised not to destroy the earth with water....we were beginning to wonder after all the rain!
I bet you all were "goose pimply" after that!

I'm so glad you were able to take that picture ... it's beautiful ... and all I can say is the quote that you spoke when you were 5 years old ... we were looking at the beautiful green water at Bottomless Lakes State Park in New Mexico ... you said, "God sure did do a good job."

Hey Dad -- I didn't take that pic, I found it on the web. The only one with a camera that night was the official camp photographer so he's the only one with pics of the actual rainbow.

Here are some words of wisdom from Jenna the other day when she took off her shoes:

    "Hey! I found my feet!"

Here are some from Chloe as we changed clothes in the same room the other day: "Mommy, you looked better when you were younger!" She was so sincere I couldn't let it get to me TOO much.
